Synopsis:

It is summer, one of those summers that we all remember with some longing. One of those summers that we remember forever; where we are sitting on the porch seesaw with one of the people for whom we feel the most devotion in the world.

Margarita – the little flower of the family – plays happily on that porch sitting next to her grandmother and of course there are too many interesting things for her. On the porch there is a huge mountain that he loves to climb … mountain or the back of the seesaw rather? In short, there are a thousand distractions, but Margarita feels a weakness for her grandmother’s voice and the fantastic things she always tells her. For this reason, when her grandmother has called her about three times, she decides to stop from her and listen to her for a little while …

Our jovial grandmother, she begins the story of a fabulous story, amazing as few, and she does it with these words:

Margarita is beautiful the sea,
and the wind,
it has a subtle essence of orange blossom;
I feel
in the soul a lark sing;
your accent:
Margarita, I’m going to tell you
a story…

Here begins the adventure where we will travel hand in hand with the grandmother to the balcony where a little princess will begin, under our watchful eyes, her own journey.

Complete short film (with voiceover)

This unpublished version includes the grandmother’s voice-over, narrating Rubén Darío’s poem and telling the tale to her granddaughter. Although we discarded it in order to bring the work closer to the international market, we consider it much more moving and much more relatable.

As a gift, we are publishing it on our website. We hope you enjoy it!
