'RANCID RANCH'
Rancid Ranch is the last traditional candy farm left in the old Sugar Town, a remote rural village. Under the watchful eye of Mr. Geezer, Gus and Cornelius handle the daily farm work, struggling to keep a crumbling farm from falling apart. Yet, they wish the harsh working conditions and the monotony of life among the cicadas were their only problems.
Surrounding them is Candy Inc., a modern candy factory led by the ruthless tycoon Imperious. Her ultimate goal? To take over Rancid Ranch. This tiny farm is the last piece of land she hasn’t swallowed up, and it’s become an obsession. Imperious is determined to seize Rancid Ranch no matter the cost.
DID YOU KNOW THAT....
With a cheeky and sharp tone, ‘Rancid Ranch’ is the studio’s first project aimed at a young adult audience, similar in style to shows like ‘Regular Show’ or ‘Flapjack’. This makes it a rare gem in the landscape of Spanish television animation.

CHARACTER DESIGN
GUS
A cheerful and passionate scarecrow girl, utterly devoted to the farm. She’s a tireless worker but easily stressed by unexpected challenges, constantly striving not to let down Don Viejo and Cornelio, whom she deeply admires.
CORNELIUS
He’s Gus’s weary companion. Once lively and passionate, time has left him calloused and apathetic. Tired of monotony, he frequently tries to trick Gus to avoid work, exploiting her innocence. Egocentric, cynical, and a compulsive liar, his main goal is to retire as soon as possible.
MR. GEEZER
A 500-year-old frog with a grumpy, stubborn demeanor. He thinks the world has gone mad and clings to the nostalgia of a bygone era. Clashes with Cornelio but appreciates Gus’s willingness to work with outdated methods. Despite his seemingly confused demeanor, he’s always one step ahead.
He runs the only gas station in the area. His loyalty, and childlike charm, which makes him close with Gus. Passionate about the legends of Hacienda Azúcar, his curiosity and naivety often lead the farmers into wacky adventures.
IMPERIOUS
A determined and strong businesswoman, tormented by her inability to complete her great-great-grandmother’s quest for total control of Hacienda Azúcar. She’s obsessively driven to acquire Rancid Ranch by any means necessary.
GUMERSINDO
B-03
A veteran worker at Industrias Caramelo, he manages the plot next to Granja Rancia. He detests his noisy neighbors, who disrupt his methodical, sophisticated work. His egotism rivals Cornelius’s, making them bitter enemies.
C-07
He seems designed to please B-03. Submissive and highly impressionable, allows B-03 to act as his superior despite their equal rank. He has no personal issues with Gus and Cornelio and is even friendly when B-03 isn’t around.
WALDO
A pitbull in a chihuahua’s body, he patrols the streets with a sheriff’s swagger but is merely a ranger. He lives scruffily in the woods with his loyal dog, Tortuga, hoping to solve a big case that will earn him local recognition.
MAYOR
In public, he seems charming, but beware: he’s a manipulative flatterer who will do anything to maintain his status. While he pretends to care about Sugar Town’s depopulation, he’s too beholden to Imperiosa and its factory to make real changes.
